3D Printed Custom Gripper Feasibility Friday
For this week’s #FeasibilityFriday we’re taking you behind the scenes of a slightly more complex feasibility trial. Sometimes, we use 3D printing to customise our cobots in order to meet specific customer needs.
For this trial, we used our 3D printer to create a custom gripper for a Universal Robots UR5e. The plastic fingertip extensions fit onto a standard Robotiq Hand-E gripper, allowing the robot to work to the precise dimensions of components in a pick and place task.
