Automated Metal Polishing Feasibility Friday

#FeasibilityFriday is here again and this time we’re looking at a metal-polishing application.

This feasibility study utilises the Universal Robots A/S UR5e in conjunction with the Robotiq 2F-85 Gripper to pick up and hold the metal components in place for polishing. Meanwhile, the Robotiq Force Torque Sensor ensures that a constant force is applied to the polishing wheel.
