Cartesian Axis Systems

IEF Werner has been creating modular components for over 40 years.  From quality components, to designing positioning systems through to customised applications and ultimately to producing fully automated production lines. IEF Werner products offer the highest possible reliability and we are proud to be the exclusive distributor of IEF Werner products in the UK.

Why invest in the Precision Linear Axis System?

IEF Werner offers the most comprehensive range of solutions to any possible “Pick & Place” application, whether you require simple linear units to attach to existing motors or whether you need a more sophisticated package consisting of multiple-axis completely installed positioning systems.  In short, the flexible nature of the linear motion product allows you to create bespoke multi-axes handling systems to meet your individual needs.

What are the benefits of this system?

  • We have a large range of flexible combinations in terms of payload, axis length, speed and precision to suit your needs.
  • A comprehensive consulting service is available to ensure the correct motor is selected for your application according to factors such as load, speed etc.
  • We can supply you with CAD drawing data of the axis system for your application, both in 2D and design models in 3D.
  • We provide standardised connection elements.  These are the components that join the axes together.
  • We offer a comprehensive range of accessories including motors, energy control systems, cable sets, amplifiers and controls, should you require them.

Spindle Drives

Maximum Load

Positioning systems with spindle drive enable high feed forces and can move high loads. They are particularly suitable for high demands on positioning and repeatability. In many industries, our proven linear axes with spindle drive have been used successfully as ready-to-install modules for years and are mostly used in handling technology and factory automation.

  • Spindle drives combine large strokes with high precision at high strain.
  • Strokes up to 1700 mm
  • Load up to 5000 N
  • Speed up to 1.2 m/s
  • Up to +/- 0.003 mm repeat accuracy

The Spindle Drive range includes: MS, profiLINE and Line series

Toothed Belt Drives

Maximum Distance

Linear units with toothed belt drive enable you to find an efficient and cost-effective solution to your handling task. IEF-Werner offers you the complete product range for all imaginable pick & place applications: from the simple linear unit prepared for the attachment of customer-specific motors to multi-axis, completely assembled positioning systems.

  • Toothed belt drives are ideal for handling light-weight to heavy components across large distances.
  • Strokes up to 5500 mm
  • Load up to 800 N
  • Speed up to 5 m/s
  • Up to +/- 0.04 mm repeat accuracy
